Michael Moyer

My name is Michael Moyer, and I am a Web and Graphic Designer from Central Ohio. I was fortunate enough to be introduced into the field of graphic design nearly twelve years ago. My endeavors into the field began while I was a computer science major. Understanding the full initiative and inventiveness that a tool like a computer allows a user, gave me great motivation to explore the functionality and aesthetic of the graphic design field. I felt the need for there to be a delicate balance between the complexity of a program and how it is perceived visually.

Conflicting thoughts engulfed into a creative fire. I realized the potential and impact associated with the responsibility of a graphic designer. This way of thinking led me to the School of Art at Ohio University, in Athens. It was while in the Graphic Design program there that I realized the fine line between making something visually appealing and it being functional as an end product.

Years later; After working with companies the world over(DHI, Quidel, Actors Credit Union, and SoundRules), I still love what I do and every day I constantly find myself amazed how design in our world is so vital to the way a person or business functions. I feel that my work, displayed across the following pages will help represent the idea I strive to achieve every day, which is, understanding can be reached through design.
